Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
InYourBody is made by KWE, Bartle House, 9 Oxford Court, Manchester, M2 3WQ ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the InYourBody app collects, why, and the choices you have. Contact us any time at support@kwe.life.
InYourBody is for people aged 13 and over. Anyone aged 13 to 17 can only use it as part of a household set up by a parent or guardian, who gives consent (see Households, ages and parental consent below). Children under 13 are not supported.
What we collect
Your account
Your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google. We use these to create your account and keep you signed in.
Your profile and body details
The details you choose to enter when you set up the app and in Settings: height, weight, body type, training experience, main goal, equipment you own, how many days a week and at what time of day you like to train, your protein target, whether you want nutrition guidance, your dietary preference and any allergies. Some of this is health-related information. We only ask for it to tailor your workouts, recovery and nutrition, and we use it only for that. By entering it you agree to us processing it for these purposes. You can change or remove it in Settings, or delete your account at any time.
Your activity
Workouts you finish (which workout, how long, effort), energy and mood check-ins, meals you log (name, protein, carbs, fat), and the recovery and insight results we calculate from them. Free accounts keep 30 days of history in the app.
AI features
Premium AI features (weekly plan, energy forecast, meal ideas, monthly review and insights) use Google's Gemini API. For these we send a short summary, for example your goal, equipment, training days, experience level, preferred training time, diet and allergies, and totals from your recent activity. We do not send your name or email address. The results are general guidance, not medical advice.
Households, ages and parental consent
A household organiser (the adult who pays for or manages the household) can add people to a household by email. The organiser tells us each person's age group (under 13, 13 to 15, 16 to 17, or 18 and over). We store that age group and a record that the organiser gave consent for that email address, so it applies even before the person signs up. People aged 13 to 17 get age-appropriate limits: no weight-loss goals, no calorie targets and no meal suggestions, and under 16s also have no muscle-gain plans and only suitable exercises. Under-13s cannot use the app. Adding someone as a household member counts as the organiser giving parental consent, and the organiser can change or remove them at any time. Each household member has their own login and their own plan.
Calendar link and shared calendar
You can create a private calendar link for your phone. It is a secret web address that shows your workouts and plans; anyone who has the link can see them, so keep it private. If you need a link disabled, email support@kwe.life. If you use the InYourHands master calendar and switch it on, our servers share your InYourBody calendar entries with InYourHands, matched by your verified email address.
Your details shared between InYour apps
To save you typing the same things into each app, we keep one set of your basic details: your name, colour, region, units, preferred reminder time and the names, relationships and birthdays of people in your household that you choose to add. It is stored by InYourHands and matched by your verified email address. Each InYour app you use with the same email can read it, and only fills in details it does not already have. You edit or remove it in InYourHands under Settings, Your details, or by emailing support@kwe.life.
FamilyOS sharing between apps (optional, off by default)
If you also use InYourKitchen or InYourHands you can switch on sharing in Settings. When it is on, our servers pass summaries between the apps, matched by your verified email address: InYourBody can read your food and drink summary from InYourKitchen (calories, macros, drinks, meal times), and can share a fatigue and energy forecast with InYourHands. Each direction has its own switch, needs Premium or the FamilyOS bundle, and you can turn it off at any time.
Purchases
Premium is bought through a secure web checkout run by RevenueCat and Stripe. We never see your card details. We store whether your subscription is active.
App performance
We use Firebase Performance Monitoring to collect technical data such as load times, to keep the app fast. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not show ads. We only use the services that run the app for us: Google Firebase (sign-in, database, cloud functions, performance monitoring; stored mainly in the London region), the Google Gemini API (AI features, as above), and RevenueCat and Stripe (subscriptions). If you switch on FamilyOS sharing, summaries move between KWE apps as described above.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we delete your profile, check-ins, workouts, meals, plans, insights, sharing settings and Premium record.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to Settings > Delete my account. You can also request deletion on the web.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email support@kwe.life and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Our database rules only let you read your own data, and AI keys are kept on our server, never in the app.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
Visit counter
Our websites and web apps send one small request when a page loads, so we can count visits. It records only the day, whether the visit looks like a person or a bot, the website that sent you (or the campaign tag in the link), and which of our sites was visited. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address and does not identify you.
